Ti Tang Mahal
Montagne Noire

This exceptional house was built for Jean-Claude Armand, who named it himself, drawing inspiration from it's Indo-Islamic style that recalled the domes of the Taj Mahal.  "TiTang" was the nickname of Jean-Claude's second son.

Built on a slope, the house had three levels: a lower section, a truncated vault, and two turrets serving as water tanks.  Jean-Claude was so pleased by the result that he ordered several other buildings from his cousin.

Sadly, this building was completely destroyed by the current owner of the property a few years ago.

The color pictures of the building are witness to its state of disrepair prior to its sale.
